Join the Street Concert outside Azerbaijan Embassy in run up to blogger trial

Friends of Azerbaijan are working with others to organise a second demonstration outside the Embassy of Azerbaijan, Kensington, London.

The demonstration, in the form of a street concert, will take place on Wednesday 2nd September from 3pm. We hope to raise awareness of the upcoming trial of Adnan and Emin and the disputed charges being held against them.  A flyer and petition will be delivered to the Ambassador at the Embassy, with a personal request to him to help ensure that the trial taking place in Baku upholds international human rights standards and reflects a changing scene of freedom and free speech in Azerbaijan. All citizens in Azerbaijan have the right to say what they think, every citizen wants a society where they are not fearful to say what they truly think. This street concert is a demonstration of that freedom, which we hope to see in Azerbaijan in the future, and we call on this government to make those changes.
