Friends of Azerbaijan Join Protest

Azerbaijan Embassy Protest in London July 2009Friends of Azerbaijan were part of a large group who led a demonstration outside the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kensington, London. The protest was held to bring to the attention of the British public, politicans and media, as well as the Azeri Ambassor the disputed charges being held against youth activists Adnan Hajizade and Emin Milli in Baku. A petition was created throughout the demonstration where interested passerbys were told about the situation and many peldged their support by signing the petition and wanting to find out more.

The protest was an international affair with individuals from many countries, including the UK, Azerbaijan, Norway, Germany, Italy and Russia among others.

Flyers were distributed and media interviews were held during the event which can be seen here.
